Historical Plaque Project

Bragg Creek has the singular distinction of being the location of the first Youth Hostel in Canada. BCHS directors worked in conjunction with Parks Canada and The Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada to create an official plaque to Commemorate the national historic significance of the first hostel of the Canadian Youth Hostel Association. The unveiling ceremony was held on June 16^th, 2018 in Bragg Creek and the plaque was later placed in a permanent location on White Avenue.
